Last Listing description (July 2021)

For those in the know, living down a private lane set alongside McCarrs Creek road is absolute gold. Not only does it protect you from the road noise, but it's also a lot safer. Once home, garaging for four vehicles plus a storeroom adds to the uniqueness of this property.

Bathed in natural northerly light this architect-designed home has been finished to the highest standard with expansive use of glass capturing the spectacular vistas from almost every room.

The floor layout is versatile, with different living zones to suit your needs.

A functional kitchen ties together the informal living and dining zones. Relax, entertain or soak up a waterfront lifestyle here, either indoors or outdoors on the wide covered veranda. Need more shelter or protection? Automatic sun blinds provide shade during the heat of day.
The master suite not only has a walk-in robe and spa en-suite, but both open to a private balcony where you can enjoy your early morning cuppa or evening tipple overlooking the water.
Bedroom two also opens out to a private deck with waterfront views. The family bathroom services the second and third bedrooms and there is a fully fitted laundry room with another WC.
A private quiet study off the entrance hall is a boon for those working from home.
Bi-fold windows open the space to water views, but at the same time provide privacy.
Entertain right on the water's edge, or on the hardwood deck, or if you prefer under the Wisteria covered arbour. There is a boat house for extra storage and all the toys needed to enjoy life on the water.

Currently a 39 ft yacht rests peacefully at the end of the jetty - this home has wide water frontage and yes, it is a deep water mooring and can accommodate up to a 48 ft pleasure craft. Sheltered deep water with over 2 meters of depth at spring low tide.

Features include an oriental low maintenance garden and pond, ducted air conditioning and heating, open fireplace, Miele appliances (two dishwashers) and solid Yarra timber flooring. Luxury appointments include automated blinds, and louvre windows.

Here is what the Owners love about the property

"After years of poor internet NBN has recently been installed, making working from home fast and easy. The 156-bus service stops 50 metres from the front of the house to Mona Vale and the B-line direct to Wynyard/City. With the off-road private lane, no one parks and leaves their car in your space which can be so annoying along McCarrs Creek road. Again, something you only discover when living here. Being set slightly down, there is no traffic noise that other McCarrs Creek houses experience. Browns Bay is sheltered from storms and high winds. The first thing you notice when entering the home is the feeling of how light and open it is. I really like walking down from the house straight onto my yacht or BBQing under the wisteria or even on the yacht. An important consideration was having the yacht permanently moored at the house effectively adding another two short stay fun bedrooms for guests"
