Ask any local and they will tell you that Carrington is loved for its eclectic charm, quick access to the city and harbour, and above all else, its beautiful community spirit. It's no surprise then that the suburb's 'Everyone's Theatre' was built in 1927 using donated materials and assistance from the residents of Carrington in exchange for two free shows per person each Christmas. Converted to a soap factory in 1962, you now have a chance to live in this exceptional building, which was adapted to a heritage-listed apartment block in 2004.

There's no shortage of gyms to help keep you fit, or if you prefer to exercise outdoors, head to Carrington Rowing Club, which is also the start of the weekly 5km park run. Enjoy a game of bowls at the local club, or walk, jog, or ride the shared harbourside path past the Yacht Club to Honeysuckle, all the way to Nobbys Beach.
