Last Listing description (December 2021)

'Euglo' has long been regarded as one of the finest farms west of the Newell Highway in NSW. Combining scale, soil quality, reliability and versatility, this outstanding property is being offered for sale by EOI in time for any new owner to plant the 2021 winter crop.

Located 45 linear km north of West Wyalong and 35 linear km South of Condobolin, 'Euglo' is an approx. 4,155Ha (10,266 acre) property currently being run as a mixed farming operation. Approx. half the property is ready to crop in 2021 with much of the remaining country sown down to lucerne pastures. 'Euglo has been running 3000 composite ewes and progeny with a lambing in autumn and a strategy of selling suckers into the Spring market. The property has had an outstanding start to 2021 with over 200mm recorded since the beginning of the year. A strict spraying regime has ensured all stubbles and fallows are weed free and have a good moisture profile.

Crops grown in recent years include wheat, canola, and barley. In 2020 approx 500ha of canola averaged three tonnes to the hectare. Under present management, fertiliser and lime has been applied generously when required.

Euglo is mostly flat with large paddocks averaging approx. 200ha in size. The property is approx. 95% arable and has the picturesque Humbug Creek running down most of its eastern boundary. The soils are principally red loams through to red and grey self mulching clays. Timber includes kurrajong, pine, rosewood, belah, wilga, myall box and redgum. Lucerne has been grown extensively over the last ten years allowing the fattening of lambs throughout all seasons.

Euglo has a water system delivering reliable water across the property. As part of 'The Euglo Water Scheme' water is delivered to the property from the Lachlan River. As a back up, the property also has a private scheme which delivers water to various tanks and troughs across the property. Average annual rainfall is 471mm (Burcher rainfall station) spread evenly across the year.

Infrastructure and features across the property include the following;

- 4 bedroom station homestead
- Amenities block for workers
- Historic 5 stand shearing shed
- All steel sheep yards
- All steel cattle yards
- Machinery shed
- Hayshed
- 7 self emptying grain and super silos
