THE PROPERTY STORY

Perched high on Cambewarra Mountain with sweeping views over the Shoalhaven estuary, Jervis Bay and St Georges Basin south to Pigeon House Mountain and Nerriga, this 27 hectare property nestled under an escarpment offers peace and seclusion amid pristine temperate rainforest and cascading creeks.
The spacious, master built house offers generously proportioned living spaces, with wide hallways, cathedral ceilings and floor to ceiling windows taking full advantage of the views of the coastline, forest and twinkling evening lights on the coastal plan below. Built in 1994, by Foxrun builders of Berry, the four-bedroom home was solidly constructed to withstand high winds and designed for easy-care country living. Built on a single level, the house features expansive formal and informal living areas, a large country kitchen, three bathrooms, a study and verandahs for outdoor living and is surrounded by around 5 hectares of cleared, fenced paddocks. Additionally, there is a double garage and large storage room/workshop.
We designed the house as a full-time residence originally, ? say the owners, but ended up spending a week to 10 days every month at the property. It s been absolutely wonderful to have that break from the city the quiet and seclusion is such a nice contrast. The house has been wonderful for big family functions and everyone enjoys a game of cricket on the lawn. It lends itself well to holiday living. ?
Natives planted around the house attract wonderful birdlife, while the remainder of the low-maintenance garden features cold-climate plants the owners were unable to grow in Sydney, including lilacs, bulbs and hellebores.
It s been such a wonderful experience being able to spend time in such a lovely region. We love to have friends to stay and explore the district. The property is only 12 minutes drive to Berry and easily accessible to the beaches of Jervis Bay and to Kangaroo Valley. We also visit Arthur Boyd s former home at Bundanon, dine at the restaurants in Berry and visit friends in the Southern Highlands. It s a fascinating area and we ve just found it fabulous. ?
Though it feels remote, the property is easily accessed via an all-weather, council-maintained road that leads right to the front gate.
Whether you are considering a full-time move to the South Coast or seeking a tranquil getaway, inspect this property to experience more than you ever imagined possible.
