3 Moondara Dr, Bangalee is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom House with 2 parking spaces and was built in 1980. The property has a land size of 3654m2. While the property is not currently for sale or for rent, it was last sold in December 2013.
Located between the commercial hub of Nowra and the historic village of Cambewarra, Bangalee is a quiet, leafy area featuring substantial family homes on blocks of close to an acre or more.
This spacious four-bedroom family home on a 3654sqm block was built in the late 1980s and has been home to the current owners for the past 17 years.
We've loved living here, says one of the current owners. We only have one neighbour and we love the view of the mountains, the birds and the sense of space. It's a beautiful spot to live but so close to town.
The solidly built, brick veneer home has four large double bedrooms. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and walk-in robe, while the other three bedrooms all have built-in robes. An open plan kitchen plus family living and dining area with a slow combustion fire opens out to an outdoor entertaining area and salt water pool. There is also a formal living and dining area with an open fireplace ideal for intimate winter evenings. Surrounding verandahs keep the interiors cool in the summer months.
There is also a three-way main bathroom with a bath, separate shower, linen press and broom cupboard, laundry and extra room currently used as an ironing room which could also be used as a study.
A favourite of the owner's is the Tasmanian oak kitchen: I love to cook and really like the layout of the kitchen. The spacious kitchen offers ample storage, an electric oven with gas cooktop, dishwasher and space for a side-by-side refrigerator.
Since purchasing the property, the owners have revamped and updated the kitchen, ensuite bathroom and laundry.
There is also a double garage plus paved parking for two further cars, a shed and carport.
The leafy grounds feature formal gardens around the house, shade trees and many fruit trees, including lime, lemon, mandarin, plum, peach, apple, mulberry and apricot trees.
This has been a wonderful place for our sons to grow up, says the owner. Even though we have a pool they've loved to go down to Bangalee Reserve and swim in the river, it's easy to cycle around here and they've been involved in lots of great activities like the Nippers at Culburra Beach.
We love the area. It's so central to Canberra, Sydney and Wollongong and so easy to take day trips to Kangaroo Valley or Berry or to take the dogs for a walk on the leash-free beaches at Shoalhaven Heads and Culburra. We're also in the zoning for Illaroo Road Primary School, which is considered one of the best in the region.
