Located approx 20km south west of West Wyalong 'Heathwren' is a 500 acre bush block which is part of a larger bushland area called the 'Dusky Woodswallow Conservation Reserve'. The Reserve was set up to protect the ecological value of the area and create a sanctuary for the native birdlife and native bushland.

A NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust Conservation Agreement over the property has served to almost double the area of inperpetuity protected foraging and nesting habitat for woodland birds.The protection of Mallee and Mallee-Broombush has also been achieved.This vegetation is listed as a Critically Endangered Ecological Community in NSW.

Nestled into the bushland is a cosy two bedroom hut with a kitchen and newly renovated bathroom. The kitchen has an old fashioned wood stove in working order. A new tank on the side of the hut supplies water to the home. This home would make a perfect weekender or something more permanant if required.
