19/15 Fox Pl, Lyneham is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Unit with 2 parking spaces and was built in 2007. The property has a land size of 5076m2 and floor size of 92m2. While the property is not currently for sale or for rent, it was last sold in April 2023.
As I approach the striking exterior of 19/15 Fox Place, Lyneham I instantly know it is something special. Leafy, private, and bright are adjectives that instantly spring to mind. The epitome of an immaculately presented, low maintenance lifestyle, that you can move straight in to - and let's be honest, isn't that what everyone wants from their new home?
More like a townhouse than an apartment, this beautifully appointed home has only one neighbour. Consequently, scoring an additional grassed yard space in addition to the large, undercover entertaining area.
As I cross the threshold, the curved wall is one of the first things that captures my attention. It's rare to find curved walls in the newer apartment builds. They require a certain level of craftmanship and skill that is somewhat lacking nowadays (and possibly more importantly, impacts the amount of dwellings developers can squeeze into a complex). As I proceed throughout the home, it becomes evident that no short cuts were taken in the construction of 19/15 Fox Place.
When I asked Mitch, the current owner, about why he loves the property, the list was extensive. It's almost impossible to articulate everything in one short article, however I'll cover off a few. Then, of course, I highly recommend experiencing the rest for yourself.
Spacious, airy, and open plan, the home features a beautifully appointed kitchen and European laundry. The layout presents a large master bedroom separate from the other 2 bedrooms, resulting in clearly defined zones. Super handy when occupying a modest environmental footprint.
Mitch talked about how all 3 bedrooms have gloriously large windows. The morning sun welcomes the day in the 2 front bedrooms, while both the living room and master bedroom bathe in afternoon sunlight.
The luxurious walk-in robe and ensuite is simply divine and high ceilings contribute to a greater sense of spaciousness throughout the entire home. Hard-wearing, easy care bamboo flooring not only feels delightful underfoot, but looks incredible.
Clean lines and a lick of fresh paint creates the ideal canvas for individual expression, offering plenty of wall space for hanging art. This is something Mitch has taken advantage of and embraced over the years; the home effortlessly functions as a gallery for his extensive art collection.
But it's the small details that typically capture my attention. Stepping out into the leafy back yard, I notice the back step features old Canberra red bricks from the Yarralumla Brickworks. Iconic, yet understated and subtly paying homage to Canberra's wonderful history.
Surrounded by wetlands and ovals, this lovely home has all the benefits of city living, without the noise and bustle of having a concrete jungle just outside your door.
All this, at one extremely well-situated, highly sought-after address. Lyneham is an amazing location and quite frankly, one of Canberra's best suburbs. It is incredibly close to Dickson (1.2km) and Braddon (2.5km) meaning the best Canberra has to offer is just a short walk, scooter, or bike ride away and we all know how hard it is to get a car park in Braddon!
There's also easy access to light rail and some of Canberra's best schools.
Lyneham is one of the few suburbs in Canberra where you can truly ditch your car and fully embrace the dream of living local. 9/15 Fox Place is perfectly positioned to offer all that and more.
