Last Listing description (May 2017)

This captivating family home whom we'll call Hilda was sold over four decades ago when brand new, to the current owner & her husband when their children were still youngsters. It's time for Hilda & her cohorts to start afresh so she's now looking for a new family to love & cherish her.
From the street she is still quite pretty & she loves her newish Heritage green trim replacing the old Mission brown, commonplace in the 70's. This contrasting colour really complements her blonde brick face, deemed a step up in class from the red brick homes of that era. Not that she's a snob but sometimes it does help to keep up with the Jones's.
Inviting you inside, Hilda is particularly proud of her freshly painted Antique white walls & snow white ceilings throughout. As well, she has always strived to look her best with periodic renovations taking place when her owners felt them appropriate. As such, the eucalypt green-inspired palette in her well-designed kitchen, circa 1999, still gleams as youthfully as ever. Fortunately the Simpson' wall oven & Westinghouse' electric hot plates were brands Hilda thoroughly approved of. Her family always delighted in the northerly sunlight flooding this room & several of the others on this side each winter season.

As early as last year her main bedrooms' en suite underwent a complete transformation tiled to the ceiling, once again in gleaming white, the mosaic-tiled recess makes a nice statement, as does the quality vanity unit & beige tile flooring. Although the main bathroom is not quite as youthful as her sister, she still packs a punch'& has the additional benefit of a deep bathtub perfect for the younger brigade or aching, aging backs after a hard day's toil.
Hilda's elegant lounge room has spacious, old-fashioned dimensions & offer original wave-pattern cornices & beautiful timber & glass French doors - they separate the large formal entry & separate dining rooms - the latter comfortably seating eight. Her family always felt safe in the four generous bedrooms, invitingly carpeted & with built-ins in three. The timber flooring has been hidden for some time by the cream-hued Sisal' carpet but the option to resurrect & display it remains. Reverse cycle air conditioning & ducted gas heating were a welcome inclusion & always kept the family comfortable, whatever the season.
Her close mate Blake the block' has provided the solid foundations for both Hilda & the very diverse, yet beautifully mature foliage thriving here these last forty-odd years. Blake is quite proud of his size - his width in particular - allowing ample additional space for potential new friends such as caravans, trailers, boats or the like. Blake doesn't wish to boast about the number of off-street parking spots at the front, but there you go. He was emphatic that Gary the garage' under the roofline could be considered as a future rumpus room conversion, but to keep that strictly between ourselves at this stage.
Happiness & harmony in a Holder home named Hilda could be the new beginning you dream about for your own family. Come & meet Hilda & her close friends Blake & Gary in tranquil Percival St at your earliest convenience. With an ounce of luck you'll be given the thumbs up & the bidding may begin!
