In the owners words:
'When I was looking for a new house nine years ago, I wanted somewhere that felt homely, safe, and that was going to be a great place to bring up my son, who was two at the time. I wasn't originally looking at a townhouse, but the photos I saw of the garden at Buckingham Street drew me in. I liked the layout, with a segregated master bedroom that also wasn't too far away from the other bedrooms. The house was always light and warm, with a great outlook to the backyard. The floor plan has been really functional for us and it's a great size, which I also didn't expect. The block size and the size of the home were a nice surprise.
The neighbourhood has been a big bonus, and I've been very lucky to have lovely neighbours who also have young children. We've spent many afternoons out chatting on the driveway together (sometimes with a beer or two) and the kids have all learnt to ride their bikes and scooters confidently in the safety of our little enclave. It's become their race track, basketball court and a space to play and have fun. Our backyard has also been a hive of activity at times, with lots of space for kids to run around, jump on a trampoline or explore the garden. We're lucky to be in a quiet, family-friendly neighbourhood that also has great proximity to schools, the local shops and Yerrabi Pond for lovely walks and playing at the playgrounds. Amaroo shops has had everything we wanted: Coles, Aldi, a pub, bakery, caf, vet, gym, and more restaurants popping up recently too.
It's a house I've really loved living in, and I'll be sad in many ways to leave a comfortable, light filled home that has a lot of lovely memories of my son's childhood years. But, life changes, and we are excited about the next adventure that awaits us. I hope that someone else loves the house as much as we did'.
