A brilliant coastal getaway.
Located in the popular seaside township of Weymouth within walking distance of the family friendly beach and Pipers River, is this near new beach house that could possibly make you feel like your life is one big holiday.
Constructed from Colourbond cladding (known for its excellent corrosion resistance & long-term durability) with a beautiful concrete floor, this home is low maintenance beachside living at its best - sandy feet can easily be brushed from the floor and the salty air will not impact the building.
The home is open plan and features a cleverly built in table for 4 adjoining the large kitchen island that also has seating for an another 3. With loads of cupboard/drawer space, quality appliances (including a dishwasher) and stone benchtops, the kitchen has everything you could need whether you choose to live here full time, visit on holidays or have your own Airbnb business.
The home has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 comfortably. The 2 larger bedrooms have built in wardrobes and easily fit queen beds. The 3rd bedroom is smaller making it ideal for a bunk bed set up.
The bathroom is nothing short of gorgeous with its stacked green tile feature wall and custom-made timber vanity.
The living room is warmed in winter by a freestanding wood heater (there is also a heat pump if you cannot be bothered with the wood chopping) and adjoins an undercover outdoor entertaining space where the obligatory BBQ will play the lead role in feeding family and friends.
This little slice of heaven is just a 3-minute walk to the Weymouth’s Piper’s River estuary. The estuary (or lagoon) has a large tidal intake and outflow, making it a popular spot for paddle boarding, swimming, kayaking or skiing. The river-mouth beach is the perfect place for families with young children. Follow the beach around further and gentle wallowing in calm waters becomes body surfing or boogie boarding off the main Weymouth beach.
The closest shop to Weymouth is the Pipers River General Store (approximately a 15 minute round trip). A little further North is Bridport (30 mins by car) and Launceston is an easy drive of just under 60km.
It is also prudent to note that you are smack bang in the middle of some of Tasmania’s finest wine producers and cellar doors. And not to forget the fisher people, there is a recently upgraded, all weather public boat ramp just up the road.
