Exceptional Beachside Residence
This exceptional, secluded beachfront residence was thoughtfully architect-designed to showcase breathtaking ocean views of Culburra Beach from every room including the bathrooms. Via a private track winding through mature native gardens the property offers direct and easy access to the very surf break that propelled Owen, Tyler, and Mikey Wright to Australian Surfing Championships.
Sun-drenched, private and protected, this absolute waterfront property presents a unique opportunity to secure a premier beachfront location in one of the most prestigious positions on The Marina, on one of the largest blocks on the entire strip, with a beautifully designed residence backed by a successful 20-year holiday rental history.
Upon entering the main pavilion via an entrance foyer, you're welcomed by soaring, double height ceilings and an abundance of natural light filling the dining and living areas. The indoor dining space has views to the ocean across the spacious living room, which features a cozy open fireplace making the residence especially inviting during cooler months. The seamless indoor-outdoor flow extends the indoors onto a large deck at the back, creating an ideal setting for entertaining with stunning ocean views from every angle. The surrounding native gardens provide protection, tranquillity, privacy and a habitat for native bird life.
The well-equipped kitchen opens to the ocean views and garden with sliding windows that create a breakfast bench where residents can sit outside, sip a coffee and dry off while interacting with the kitchen.
Upstairs in the main pavilion, you'll find a charming loft bedroom and ensuite with wooden accents and a built-in desk, along with built-in storage. This delightful space overlooks the living area and offers gorgeous water views from the bed and the desk. The downstairs bathroom in the main pavilion, with Japanese bath and indoor/outdoor shower, opens to the view through louvres looking across the living space, and opens to the outdoors via large French doors onto a private, sheltered bathing area which incorporates an outdoor shower and bath.
The main pavilion is a self-contained private space for a couple while the deck provides covered access to the sleeping pavilion, for when the family extends, or guests are staying.
Downstairs in the sleeping pavilion, there's a spacious garden suite containing a bedroom, built-in wardrobe and ensuite, with ocean glimpses through the established native garden. With the car in the parking bay at the front door, a single garage on the same level can be used for extra storage and a cozy teenage snug with built-in lounge area and a large screen TV-a perfect retreat for young ones away from the adults. Upstairs in the sleeping pavilion, two additional bedrooms are conveniently located with a shared indoor/outdoor bathroom and separate toilet in between. Each of these three rooms has direct French door access to the top deck including the bathroom, making after-swim showers a breeze. One of the sleeping pavilion's upstairs bedrooms is a fun bunkroom which can sleep up to nine in built-in bunks, each with their own top-hung window and reading light.
The fully fenced outdoor spaces are enchanting, featuring beautifully landscaped gardens that incorporate a sheltered grassy area with a firepit and barbecue while an additional backyard off the deck provides expansive ocean views and grassed space for lawn games. An additional seating area offers a relaxing space from which to watch children and pets on the lawn, and surfers, whales and dolphins in the ocean.
There is potential to extend the dining deck to incorporate an outdoor kitchen, enhancing your entertaining options even further.
With a north-easterly orientation, multiple outdoor retreats and seamless indoor/outdoor transitions throughout, the house was designed by architect Andrea Wilson who studied at Sydney University under acclaimed, multiple award winning architect Richard LeplastrierAO.
