Beach Break with a Difference - Renovated Church
“Holy Mackerel” is a 100-year-old church situated on the banks of the beautiful Candlagan Creek. The church was built in 1915 and has been transformed into a unique and comfortable coastal retreat. It is well situated as a base to explore the stunning South Coast of NSW. Locally, you can take a short walk or canoe paddle to Broulee’s beautiful swimming and surf beaches. A walk along the Tomago River to the Mossy Point headland gives you the opportunity to observe local wildlife and breathtaking views of the ocean.
The converted church retains many of the buildings original features such as the arched windows, ironbark floors, lining boards and the high vaulted ceilings.
